It is an interesting proposition that in this age of growing environmental awareness, and "greening" of cities, business, homes etc., that we have fallen short in an area so basic. It is a cliche, but true, that children are our future, and in fact, the good news is in so many ways they are so far ahead in their environmentalism than adults. Yet, they are bombarded with branding, plastic toys that are over-packaged, and mundane computer generated activities that are supposed to make them geniuses, etc.
At Challenge & Fun, we feel strongly that a child's play environment shapes their perspective of the world. This is why we have focused on featuring toys that are not only natural, but also beautiful, or adorable. Our packaging is typically simple, and the focus is on a quality toy that engages creativity, rather than how much stimuli can be packed into one toy.
Any thoughts? How do you feel about plastic toys in your home? If you try to avoid plastic toys, do they find their way into your house anyway?—where do they come from? How do you feel about the quality and/or availability of natural toys on the market? What is the best or worst packaging you have seen lately? And finally, did you like the video?
